EXPLORE THE NATURE

Greater Niseko Area
Shakotan Area: A must visit area if driving along the coast line with clear ocean views is your cup of tea. This area also has great seafood available with many restaurants to choose from. Click on the link for more details.
Fly Fishing: There are many rivers in the Greater Niseko Area which are ideal fly fishing areas. Hire a guide or get some friends to catch many different types of fish!
Zip Line: Need an adrenaline rush? Niseko is home to Japan’s Biggest Zipline and it exceeds speeds of 100km/h! The course is over 2km with views of Mt. Yotei from top to bottom.

Onsen Districts
Jozankei Onsen: One of the largest Onsen districts in the area and a great place to relax ad unwind while being surrounded by nature.
Jigokudani: aka "Hell Valley" is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. You can hike into the area and witness the volcanic activity.

In-Land Hokkaido
Furano Lavenders: If you love flowers, this is a must do. About 3-4 hour drive from the Niseko Area, this place is filed with lavender farms and gardens beyond your imagination. I highly suggest visiting Tomita Farms to see the best that Furano has to offer.
The Blue Pond: Outside the hot spring town of Shirogane Onsen is named after its deep blue color which it owes to natural minerals dissolved in the water. Not promoted as a tourist spot until recent years, the pond is part of an erosion control system to prevent damage to Biei in case of an eruption by nearby Mount Tokachidake.
Mt. Asahidake: This mountain has the highs peak of Hokkaido and is accesed via Ropeway from the bottom. Spectacular views of mountain ranges and there is a hiking trail which can take you near the geysers (about an hour hike).
